I winked at the rabbit that dashed across the moon;
breathed in along the edges of the green blades;
rested, contemplated in the never-ending field;
peered at my reflection in the crystal droplets.
I saw my face like a planet, staring at a rocket’s window,
illuminated by human fascination, a silent astronaut,
too starry-eyed among the asters
to know the way home.
